The show comes from director Kim Seong-hun, and it will be about a
prince going on a quest to “investigate a mysterious outbreak that leads
him to a brutal truth that threatens the kingdom.”
Kingdom will premiere on Netflix around the world in 2018.
Hey everyone, look! Something on Netflix made by Asians about Asian culture featuring… Asians!
I’ll be watching this instead of Iron Fist, that’s for sure.
2018 looks like it’s gonna have some good stuff.
Why are y'all mad at iron fist again?
Because they picked the white dude they have over a person with an Asian man (who the character is supposed to be) with actual deep martial arts background,
Danny rand is suppose to be white not Asian, as far as he main continuity he has always been white. Danny rand ain’t never been Asian. I’m starting to think y'all just be getting mad just for the hell of it.
Most people who are actually knowledgeable about the character are moreso upset that they decided to keep it canon instead of actually doing something cool and reinvent the character so that it doesn’t look so white saviour-y and self-inserty of the writers (bc it makes it seem like an Asian super hero doing mystical shit is either too far-fetched or expectedly stereotypical, and if they think the latter then they’re basically admitting to being shitty writers who can’t write culture?)
I mean… Ijs, the complaints are justifiable, and the show is dryer than ancient nun pussy… 🙃
